MISTAKES TO BE AVOID DURING YOUR DRIVING LICENSE TEST
The driving tests gradually take around half an hour to one hour. The Australian driving test takes two stages of the test. The first stage of the driving test is usually done in less busy areas like residential areas. There are around seven types of tasks in the first stage. The scheme includes left turns, right turns, three-point turner, and reverse parallel turn, which is some of the simple tasks in the first stage. The second stage is somewhat complex; the second stage takes around 14 to 21 tasks. The second stage test will be on busy roads like main and side roads and take turns between busier roads. This is how the driving test takes place.
Australian driver test allows two errors. If you have committed two errors in the first stage, you must be very careful in the second stage. If you have made a single mistake, then it is ok that you have one lifeline left, but make sure that error should not be made.
If you are going to make five continuous mistakes, then you are not going to qualify for the test, or you are going to fail the exam. So, it would be best if you kept this in mind while appearing for the examination.
HERE ARE THE SOME OF THE RULES TO AVOID MISTAKES DURING A DRIVING KNOWLEDGE TEST:
We should follow the traffic rules to avoid mistakes and have proper knowledge of traffic signals that makes us pass our driving test. MIRROR AND HEAD CHECK: When asked to take a right or left turn, remember that the indicator must be given and check the mirror.
DON’T BE NERVOUS: Feel free during the driving test. You will not be able to focus on driving and may have a chance to make many mistakes. To avoid this, take a sound sleep the day before you go for the test.
ROLLING STOPS: Rolling stops are a typical error the beginner makes. So avoid rolling or short stops. So, at the junction or signals to stop, drive slowly and then entirely stop.
LANE SWITCHING: look first and activate the signal, check side mirrors, and check for any vehicle in the blind spot. If it is clear, only do so.
BREAKING THE SPEED LIMITS: You need to obey speed limits. Many drivers will not slow down in school zones, and they can't control their speed, making them fail the exam.
TURNING IMPROPERLY: Make a right turn, and use the turn signal approximately 100 feet before you turn to know what you are doing.
BE EARLY: Some instructions can be given before if you reach the location early. Some of these instructions may guide us and help us avoid
mistakes.
BE ORGANISED: Keep your required details like your identity card and test ID. It may help you on the test day.
REVISE THE THEORY: Revise the theory before you go to the test. They might ask you small questions, so you should be ready with answers for a better impression.
POOR STEERING WHEEL TECHNIQUES: If you use poor steering techniques, things may go out severely. Avoid using single hands and use proper steering technique.
FAILURE TO USE SIDE MIRRORS OR BLIND SPOTS: We should be very clear when using mirrors as they are designed so that you can see that someone is driving in your blind spot.
SLOW REACTION TIMES: Avoid slow reactions. As soon as the tester asks you to turn to the corner and take directions, you should be very active, which makes driving very effective, and you may get a license quickly.
BAD SEATING POSITION: While the test is going on, the poster of the driver is also essential and sit comfortably, which makes the observer know about you.
STOP SUDDENLY WITHOUT WARNING: When the person is testing and indicates you to stop, you should know the rules and apply them like a warning or by using the indicator and stop.
MOST COMMON REASONS THAT LEAD TO FAILURE:
• Over speeding.
• Not checking blind areas.
• Not having more idea on signals.
• Speeding (too slowly or too high).
• Stay alert and be calm behind the wheel.
• Don’t drive if you are awake for more than 18 hours.
• Passing or overtaking trams.
Avoiding these mistakes during your driving license test will make you pass the test.
